Ahhhhhhh, finally—the newest addition to the Shakeology® family (drumroll please) . . . rich and creamy VANILLA!

For a few years now, customers have been begging Beachbody to create a Vanilla Shakeology. And while there was a rumor swirling around that they would never make a Vanilla, what they really said was “just not now.”

“NOW” has finally arrived.
Vanilla comes in many forms, not all of which are pure. There are a lot of knockoffs out there that are labeled as vanilla, but aren’t 100% pure vanilla because other elements have been added. And since Beachbody absolutely refuses to compromise on quality, it took a while to hunt down an untainted, flavorful, and ethically sourced vanilla bean that would meet Shakeology’s standards.

Where do these prized vanilla beans come from?
Deep inside the lush jungles of Madagascar, an island off the southeastern coast of Africa, Malagasy farmers meticulously hand-pollinate delicate vanilla orchids and harvest the beans. Over the course of several months, the beans are blanched, sweated, sun-dried, and conditioned, which releases their robust flavors. By using these particular beans, they can be sure of their traceablilty, as well as the fact that they are being sourced in an ethical and sustainable way.

Helping the local economy, the environment, and future generations.
The Malagasy farmers who grow and harvest these precious vanilla beans are also being trained in optimal vanilla cultivation practices and sustainable farming methods. And through Beachbody’s participation in sourcing these beans, they are helping to fund investment in new schools to educate the next generation.
